It’s always an odd thing to decide how to present yourself on the internet. Quite frankly, it would be easiest for me to keep it all in one place; my time and schedule being as limited as it is with all the things I want to do in my life and the relationships I have. But that’s often just not practical. Some people want to hear about my music projects, others my blogs, others about my fiction writing, and still others about my non-fiction writing.
For years I’ve been known as Sable Aradia online. That’s because I’m an outgoing introvert, and there are things I like to keep private about my life. But I’m looking to finally get my fiction writing career going, and that’s something you really have to do under the auspice of your real, legal name. This site is all about my fiction writing work. I’ll be blogging only about things that relate to that, which will include my writing projects, the writing process, book reviews, and geeky stuff related to what I’m writing that interests me. Eventually I’ll be posting about events and appearances too. I probably won’t be able to resist posting about activism once in a while either, so keep that in mind. But if it’s my fiction writing you’re primarily interested in, I’d like to invite you to subscribe to Diane Morrison on WordPress in order to do that. My non-fiction work (Paganism and Witchcraft) will continue to be featured at my Sable Aradia website and blog.
If you’re already following me elsewhere, nothing else is going to change, at least for the moment (though I expect I may be phasing out my Confessions of a Geek Queen blog as this one becomes more active.) I have linked all of my social media already, because that I don’t have time to do any more than I’m already doing. I’m considering changing my Twitter profile to reflect my legal name eventually, but the @SableAradia will remain the same regardless. And over the next few weeks I may be reposting (or reblogging) some relevant old posts from other blogs so that you get a feel for what I’m trying to do here.
Welcome! And thanks for your interest!
